Destructing Misogyny: Ep 1 - Equality comes hand in hand

Updated: Jun 23, 2023

"The world, seen through the lenses of a patriarchal society, will never achieve true equality." This thought-provoking quote implores us to delve deep into the experiences of women, both mentally and physically, as they navigate the arduous journey towards equal rights. It challenges the narrow perspectives that perpetuate misogyny and urges us to embrace a broader understanding of gender equality, in order to eradicate these oppressive arguments once and for all. Together, let us embark on a transformative journey to enhance equality for all genders and create a better world.

It is crucial to invite our minds and souls to understand the counterarguments that have kept women shackled for so long, hindering the progress of the entire human species towards true equality. One such argument asserts that "Women must share equal responsibility with men in all aspects of life, including being the breadwinners."

This argument is often wielded by misogynists who erroneously believe that women are inherently weak and dependent on their support. However, their flawed perception blinds them from realizing that their own vision of the world is what has held them back. In reality, women have repeatedly demonstrated their capability and willingness to be equal providers in advanced societies. We have witnessed numerous powerful and charismatic women leaders, like Angela Merkel (former chancellor of Germany), who have defied gender stereotypes and excelled in positions that were once considered exclusively male domains. Hence, shown ultimately proved that women has no problem at bearing equal responsibility with men. Yet, this progress comes with a condition: men must also be willing to share the responsibilities traditionally imposed on women by a patriarchal world. This includes embracing the role of childbearing and engaging in associated caregiving duties. As feminists, we champion the paternity leave to enable men to equally shoulder the responsibility of raising children, while also advocate for policies that shatter the glass ceiling, preventing women from entering male-dominated fields.

(Angela Merkel just don't give a crap - who ever you are !

Ironically, there are more men than women in this picture)

The problem lies with misogynistic men who eagerly embrace paternity leave when it personally benefits them, but vehemently resist the idea of more women taking on traditionally male roles. They feel threatened and view it as an affront to their ego and masculinity. This issue stems from the constructs of a patriarchal society, which have conditioned men to believe that their worth is defined by rigid gender roles. In a utopia of true equality, each individual can pursue their aspirations without being confined by restrictive expectations, as long as fairness and justice prevail.

Ultimately, it is the patriarchal society itself that serves as the root problem. It cultivates toxic masculinity, leaving men feeling inadequate when confronted with the principles of equality. It is vital to underscore that our goal is not to demonize masculinity or femininity, as both are intrinsic aspects of our nature. However, we must strike a harmonious balance between our inherent characteristics and the imperative to create a world that upholds equality and justice. The existence of a patriarchal society, where men and women are assigned rigid roles, merely reflects our primal instincts that have shaped human society. As intelligent beings, we have the power to transcend these instincts and forge a path toward a world built on genuine equality and justice for all. Let us work together to destruct misogyny and build a future where every individual is treated with dignity and respect.
